After a brutal March, Portland has proven that it too, enjoys sunshine once in awhile. It’s cliché to talk about the people that come out of the woodwork when it’s nice out, but man! Biking past the many southeast parks this afternoon, it was stunning how crowded they were. Basketball games, lounging, sleeping, reading, tightrope walking, skateboarding, picnicking and just plain milling around with grins on faces. It’d be hard to be grumpy around such a buoyant group.
Trevor and Bronwyn and I had a lovely afternoon throwing the frisbee at Mt. Tabor, a favorite of ours. Trevor and I repeated the same routine today, with even nicer weather.
Combined with a get-together at my house Friday and a great party at Emily’s last night, there are no complaints. It’s been a lovely weekend.
