1400 Year Old Ginkgo Tree’s Annual Leaf Drop

DCIM102MEDIADJI_0433.JPG

How many golden leaves does a giant, 1400 year old Ginkgo tree drop? A lot. A beautiful flood of leaves captured falling off of this stunning tree in China. Autumn is lovely. Via Colossal:

This is simply breathtaking!! My absolute favorite tree is the ginkgo. Did you know it almost went extinct? Were it not for a small group of monks keeping it at their temple it would have been lost to time many years ago. I adore the tree. The smell of the seeds…not so much 😉
