The Cuckoo Goes Classy

The classic, irreverent cuckoo clock has been around in some form or another for over 250 years. German by origin, it’s design has almost always been in the dark, Germanic stag style, a take on the ornate chalet form. It might be time for an update. Enter the Japanese design studio Nendo, in a series of cuckoo clocks for Lemnos. Their playful, irreverent style is still present, but has been updated to reflect a clean minimalism. Via Colossal:
