Brushstrokes to the Past and Present

This brilliant yet somber series by David Ambarzumjan shows various landscapes that are radically altered by large paint strokes, in which we see both the past and the present revealed. It’s a clever concept, executed really solidly, giving us a window to a different time. In the first, we see a virgin green landscape, radically altered in the paint stroke, revealing Manhattan.
