The Foggiest Place on Earth

We’re particularly fond of Newfoundland, parts of which have been crowned “the foggiest place on the planet”.

At the meeting place between the cold Labrador current, and the warm Gulf Stream meet, Newfoundland’s Grand Banks is often blanketed in a thick, moody layer of fog.

Point Reyes, California takes spot number two, and the aptly named “Cape Disappointment” in Washington State is a close third. Via Farmer’s Almanac. Check out the video below of the fog rolling in dramatically from the sea.
