Abstract Urban Landscapes by Jason Anderson

These pastel-toned oil paintings by Jason Anderson give us an abstracted look at pixelated landscapes. Using a fixed point of light (yellow or white paint), we see a horizon stretching out on either side. This pixelated approach requires you to take the paintings in at a distance, or blur your own vision, to bring them to life. It’s a singular approach that we find visually pleasing, using perspective and tonal shifts to create the landscapes. Via Colossal:
