We’ve posted a lot of architectural related stories lately, we know. There’s just so much about our built environment that brings interest, from both a visual and lifestyle perspective. So with that said, here’s another post about architecture. 😉
Designer Ali Sahba has a great series entitled Hamburg Minimal, where he carefully removes the background from architecture photos around the German city, putting a whole new visual perspective on the subjects. Buildings turn into figures, and without the distraction of their neighbors, the high rises can be seen in detail. Additionally, the bright background colors he adds gives a pop-sensibility to the images, livening up what could be a rather pedestrian subject matter. Indeed, the traditionally conservative city of Hamburg is seen in a whole new light through these simple manipulations. Via Notcot:
