From delightfully wacky seat designs to iridescent neon window tint, it’s clear the designers and engineers at Hyundai had a field day with this concept car.

Unveiled this week at the IAA Mobility 2025 motor show in Munich, Concept Three is the brand’s idea of a small, fun urban EV with an abundance of character.

Designed specifically for Europe’s smaller roads, the Concept Three has a sporty stance, and a rally-style feel that makes it look fast even when sitting still.

The first compact car in Hyundai’s Ioniq lineup, the concept is overflowing with funky design details, including a cartoon character called Mr. Pix, who shows up in both digital and physical places throughout the car.

We admire the use of vibrant and funky materials, which show up in both the interior upholstery, and also places like the digital side mirrors, which almost look like miniature Death Stars.

The Ioniq sub brand has made the use of ‘pixels’ a major design theme, and we see them continued here, with a fully animated grill area that features their irreverent pixel character.
