Tennessee-based artist Kimberly Pelkey has a wonderfully quirky set of painted characters that glow with rich colors and a dotted style that make them feel celestial. The playful designs look destined for a children’s book, where they’d be creatures in a colorful story.  Some of the characters look like they could have been made with a drip technique, where you let the ink flow where it wants, and then turn those designs into the characters themselves.
