We’ve captured the time-lapse magic of Kevin Barry before, as he took us, literally, through fruit, from skin to core. His painstaking slicing and photographing is back, this time to a range of bright, tropical fruit.  With delicious sound as well, it’s a fun visual journey, and maybe will whet your appetite for a tropical treat.

Made by painstakingly slicing through fruits and veggies to expose their many layers, we are given a visual feast, and a miniature journey through the food we eat everyday.

Created by Toronto-based Kevin Barry, he swears it was a fun process, despite it seeming so time consuming. Via LS:

Using my stop-motion animation know-how to explore the patterns inside of various fruits and vegetables! This looks super tedious, but I actually had a lot of fun slicing them frame by frame and seeing the results come to life. I’ve included a bit of behind-the-scenes footage to show how I created the effect.
