Disney has a new short-film available on their Disney+ streaming platform, featuring a boy and an adorable octopus friend. Directed by Taika Waititi, the 4-minute film is charming, and tells the improbable story of a boy who encounters a young octopus, who attaches himself to the boy’s head.

Panic and fear lead to familiarity, and then friendship, as the boy heads home from vacation to his wintery home, with the octopus still clinging firmly to his head.

The friendship that develops between the boy and the curious, adorable octopus should make anyone smile.

Take a look at the utterly charming and irreverent short film below, which is as welcome as it is unexpected.

I think that this a bad idea.
    After watching this short film.

Children may pick them up from tide pools and end up killing a lot of these creatures since they need to stay wet. And what about feeding them?
