The stark lighting and surreal subject matter add a magical and ethereal touch to Rinat Khabirov’s beautiful illustrations.

Steeped in lore from his native Russia, the UK-based artist explores themes from Alexander Pushkin poems, and ancient oriental tales.

We love the restrained color choices, and the bewitching tone of the art.
