Looking for a rentable retreat that will truly clear your senses?

Look no further than Folly Mojave, a super minimalist retreat built in the harsh yet gorgeous Mojave desert in California. Designed by Malek Alqadi, the structures are rectilinear, brutalist, but also help frame the zen-like atmosphere that is conjured.

We like the pure simplicity of the design, which includes four retreats, named Fire, Water, Wind, and Stone. They include private pool, outdoor terraces, fireplace, and ample privacy and stargazing.

With a private outdoor dining area and artisan meals, your stay should be highly memorable, indeed. Starting at $1100.

  1. We hear you, it’s definitely not for anyone! For us, the lack of visual distractions is the purpose. To completely disconnect from stimulus. But your idea of relaxation may vary! 🙂

Just my opinion, but these photos are not inviting, at all. A large garage/airplane hangar, with views of a barren landscape, for $1100 a night. 🫢
