We’ve all taken sticks of chalk over the years, and doodled on a sidewalk, blackboard or other surface. Nikolas Bentel has a fun new set of chalk draw-ers that bring funky shapes to the medium, allowing for patterned lines, fields of dots, and concentric rainbow rings. It’s a simple yet elegant idea to mold chalk into shapes, and brings a sense of excitement to a very old tool/toy. On sale at the New Museum shop in New York, we’d love to get our hands on these, and bring a sidewalk to life. Our only critique is the distinct lack of color. Hoping the line is expanded to encompass all colors of the rainbow. Via DesignBoom:
