Ancient ruins are often seen as untouchable parts of our history, carefully walled off and treated with the utmost care. While this approach is commendable, what if those ruins were reinvisioned, and redesigned to become modern, livable places again? This thought experiment is what NeoMam Studios has undertaken. They’ve taken six ancient ruins from around the world, and animated their revival/reconstruction using modern architectural techniques. The result is fascinating. And while none of these revisions will ever see the light of day, it’s an interesting idea, pondering the way we deal with architectural ruins from ages past. Via DesignBoom:
