John Margaritis has a surreal and dreamlike installation entitled Hoop Dreams that places basketball hoops in the sea. Installed in secret at night during Miami Art Week 2016, residents awoke the next morning perplexed to see a pristine hoop in the ocean, just begging to be played with.  The work defies explanation, but has deep impact, all the same.
