Rainbow Bamboo

Calcutta-based artist Abin Chaudhuri built an installation using painted bamboo to create a sort of physical infographic to represent population growth. To be installed at New York’s MOMA, this trial installation shows the world population represented through different color and height bamboo. Crowned with reflective tape, the bamboo glows and sparkles at night, giving a feel of a city full of people.  Via DesignBoom:
