Filmmaker and photographer Daniel Mercadante has a vibrant series entitled Rainbow Road, that uses long exposure light painting, and creates swirling, swooping paths.  Taken in winter in the countryside, the rainbow stripes cut a colorful line through the property, winding amongst trees, over hillsides, and into structures. These #lightpainting images stand out beautifully against the subdued winter ground.  Via DesignBoom:
