We hear about firefighters a lot, but rarely see their work, for obvious reasons.

The danger of heat, smoke, fire, and falling debris is all around, and routinely, firefighters risk their lives to save people, animals, and property.

A recent GoPro video from the Third Fire Company of Ñuñoa, in Santiago, Chile shows us firsthand how intense and dangerous firefighting can be.

In the video, we see a terrifying wall of flames from the firefighter’s helmet-mounted camera. The flames were a reported 900º F (482 c).

Almost like an intense video game, we see first-person as the firefighter blasts water at active fires, and battles falling walls and debris. Check out the video below, and experience firsthand how intense and scary a firefighter’s job can be.

Luckily, while the building in the video was lost, no major injuries or deaths were reported from this blaze.

Wow. That was both amazing and terrifying at the same time.
    They don’t get paid enough.
