Food is supersized in this delightful series of miniatures called Minimiam. Using figures from model train sets, characters are snapped going about their daily business of racing bikes over giant eggs, inflating old grapes, playing in the frosting snow, and skateboarding within a half-pipe avocado.

Beautifully hilarious and charming, this work by Pierre Javelle and Akiko Ida is a joy to see.

“Who has not dreamt of diving into a chocolate mousse, or skating on whipped cream!

Akiko and Pierre have created a miniature world of gourmandise, the Minimiam.

Relive your childhood emotions and smell, taste the photographic adventures that come alive on your plate.”

Awesome how people see things completely different. I thank them for sharing this beautiful work. I like them pumping up the grapes and the carving of peanuts the best.
