IKEA has been striving to make their products more eco-friendly for years, reducing their packaging, using more recycled content, and more. They’re also pushing into solar powered lighting, in a collaboration with Little Sun, a lighting design company that also sees the potential of solar in home devices. The first of many, we appreciate the unique astronomy-esque design  🪐. Look for these IKEA lights to release later this year. 💡

“Together with Little Sun, IKEA set out to explore how home furnishing design can make more people curious about solar energy. The result of the collaboration is SAMMANLÄNKAD: two sun-powered LED lamps designed to awaken interest in how the sun can power everyday objects and raise awareness for the need for alternative energy solutions today.”
