Johnny Depp’s new Three Hearts Rum is the kind of bottle that arrives with its own backstory, attitude, and a little bit of main-character energy.

Designed with symbols pulled from Depp’s tattoos and personal iconography, it manages to feel equal parts handcrafted spirits bottle and collectible object from a very specific corner of celebrity lore.

The charms, skull, lightning bolt, and trio of hearts all give it a decorative, slightly theatrical flair that makes the packaging feel almost as plotted as the rum itself.

And, of course, it’s hard not to see the Jack Sparrow shadow hovering nearby. Even without going full pirate-costume parody, the bottle taps into the same glossy, rum-soaked, slightly romanticized sense of adventure that Depp has carried on-screen for years.

It’s less “Captain Jack, but make it merch” than “here’s a bottle that knows exactly which part of the legend it wants to borrow.”
