After a particularly offensive subscriber to this site shared their views on the terrifying GOP frontrunner, I decided to be clear. This site, and it’s authors, are 110% clear on this issue: Donald Trump is a truly terrible candidate and person, someone spreading hate, fear, racism and discrimination in this country.
Not only is he bad for the country, he is bad for subject matters that Moss and Fog hold most dear: creativity, fine art, design, science, love, and exploration. We implore the readers of this site to reject his messages of hate, bitterness, racism, and ignorance. Love trumps hate, every time.
We will return to sharing excellent finds in the world of art and design, but we felt compelled to not stay silent on this issue.
I don’t live in the United States, but I can’t help but feel worried for the future of the world if he becomes president. Coming from a country that oftentimes follows the lead of the US, particularly when it comes to military matters, I’m so worried where he will lead not only your country but mine. He’s the worst of a bad bunch, and you’re absolutely right to make your political standpoint clear.
There is no question in my mind that Trump is a danger to not only our country, but also to our world. It is a fragile planet and it needs our loving care. Trump is an ego that cares only for his own success. He is a racist, misogynist bully, a truly vile man, and he needs to be stopped.
Thanks, K! 😉
Excellent rebuttal Moss & Fog! Couldn’t agree more.
Thomas Jefferson once said that we get the government that we deserve. Complacency breeds dangerous zealots like Trump. And hate. I’m ashamed that it’s gone this far.
Thanks James! We don’t want to wade into a debate, but stakes are quite high, we couldn’t stay silent.
It’s nearly impossible for us to avoid politics these days. Especially on venues like ours that have nothing to do with politics. Now it seems that silence equals complacency and the risks are far too large to ignore. I applaud your sentiments here and whole-heartedly agree!
