Not quite origami, but with a similar effect, this geometric paper art from Tayfun Tinmaz has a really fun pop-art sensibility. Known as Paperpan, his art looks painstaking to create, using dozens of folded triangle and diamond shapes.  The parrots, toucans, cockatoos and other birds are joined by stags, butterflies, and other intricate and colorful creatures.
