We’ve come to learn that being in a Wes Anderson movie is an ‘event’, even for the most seasoned Hollywood star. The quirky, lovable director’s films are so beloved that top talent feel a new sense of purpose when acting on a Wes Anderson film.

The director’s latest film, “Asteroid City” seems to reinforce that, with new stars like Tom Hanks, Steve Carrell, and Scarlett Johansson joining the ensemble cast that includes regulars like Edward Norton, Tilda Swinton, Jeff Goldblum and Jason Schwartzman.

Set in 1955, the movie follows the events that occur at the Junior Stargazer convention, and we imagine, hilarity ensues.

The film is set to debut at the 76th Cannes Film Festival in May, with theatrical release in late June, 2023.
