The world of fungi is a kingdom of over 3 million species. There are thousands that haven’t even been categorized by science.

Fungi is elusive and strange, not fitting traditional definitions of beauty, but there really are some magnificent species, full of unique form, color, texture, and other qualities. Photographer Steve Axford shows us some of these amazing fungi, varying wildly in appearance. Really beautifully photographed, we love this side of the natural world. Via IG:
