If you thought we could pass up posting about trees in a thick, eerie morning fog, you’d be wrong. Photographer Michael Schlegel shows us a series of beautifully still and poetic trees, shrouded in a blanket of fog. The black and white compositions give the scene a high contrast purity, and you can imagine the feeling of that quiet stillness. Taken in Madeira, Portugal, we love how gnarled and full of personality the trees are. Via Colossal:
