We’re enamored with these thought-provoking animated GIFs from artist Tracy J Lee.

In them, we see characters going about ordinary tasks, only to vanish into the ether, or have their very own ghost appear before them.

Illustrated in beautiful high contrast, the brief moments truly come alive.
