This charming series of lamps are entitled Scacco Matto, by designer Francesco Cappuccio are modular, using magnets to connect and stack in a variety of ways.

Winner of the A’ Design Award for 2023, the Scacco Matto series gives off a lovely warm glow, and creates an inviting architectural silhouette. The name roughly translates into ‘check mate’, referring the the lamps’ chess like profile.

We think magnets are magical, and love the introduction of them into lighting for this particular design.
