Weighing in at 70 times the normal blueberry, this mega-berry is now the world record holder. Imagine needing just one berry per blueberry muffin.

Grown by Costa’s Berry Farm in Corindi, New South Wales, Australia, the berry is definitely one for the record books, but isn’t the only massive blueberry they picked. Supposedly the giant was growing amongst 20 or so similarly huge berries.

Considered an Eterna blueberry, the variant is known for its great flavor and long shelf life. This one weighed in at 20.40 grams, or about .72 ounces, which is 70 times heavier than a normal blueberry.

Guinness World Records was there to officially weigh the berry, and verify the size.

The Eterna blueberries are known for good flavor and long shelf life. Now we know they can reach massive size, too. Costa Group Senior Horticulturist Brad Hocking amongst the berries.

It’s surreal seeing a fruit we’re familiar with, blown up to massive proportions.
