We need more people in this world like toy inventor Eddy Goldfarb.

If you’ve ever seen a pair of wind-up chattering teeth, Eddy’s your guy. Same with the iconic Bubble Gun from the 1980s, that shoots out clouds of soap bubbles.

An elderly man using a bubble gun to blow bubbles at a kitchen sink, with a colorful display of toy figures visible in the background.

With nearly 1000 toy inventions to his name, Goldfarb is one of the most prolific designers in the toy world, and at age 104, he’s still seeing the legacy of all those joyous moments he’s brought to the world.

Eddy Goldfarb, a toy inventor, is seen working in his kitchen while assembling toy parts.
This short film from The New Yorker profiles Goldfarb’s history and prowess in the world of toys.

The New Yorker created a nice short biopic film of Goldfarb back in 2020, and it profiles the inventor’s upbringing, and showcases many of his charming creations, like Stomper Cars, Kerplunk, and so, so many others.

A pack of Yakity-Yak talking teeth toys displayed alongside their vintage packaging, showcasing the playful and whimsical design typical of toy inventions.
Talking Teeth was one of his most successful toys.
A vintage toy called Merry-Go-Sip, designed to help children drink milk, featuring a dome with animated animals, displayed alongside its box.
Before our time, but Merry Go Sip was a big hit as well.

Seemingly full of new ideas still to this day, it’s clear that Goldfarb chose the right profession, and made a mighty (die) stamp on it.

An elderly man with glasses is focused on soldering components while working at a cluttered table filled with various tools and materials.

One of his very favorite inventions are the solar powered characters that gently bob their wings/leaves in the sun, thanks to a small solar panel in the toy’s base.

A close-up of a hand reaching for colorful plastic toys on display, including a pink flamingo, a robot, and a bird with a hat, arranged on a shelf by a window.
A smiling older man, Eddy Goldfarb, sits in front of a colorful collection of toy boxes, holding a plush dog toy.
Amongst many of his creations.

One of the patents for Stomper Trucks.
An elderly man thoughtfully interacts with a toy car track featuring Stomper vehicles, with a Stomper-themed background poster and a box of toys nearby.
