Mercedes-Benz is basically trying something kind of wild: taking the vibe of their cars and turning it into an actual chunk of Dubai.

They’ve teamed up (again) with luxury developer Binghatti on a huge new master-planned project called Mercedes-Benz Places Binghatti City—and they’re pitching it like a “city within a city,” which is a little dramatic, but you get the idea.

It’s big, like nearly 9 million square feet big. With 13,000+ residences planned. And it’s not just apartments stacked up in towers; they’re talking about the whole lifestyle package: green outdoor areas, pools, fitness and sports stuff, plus all these “event” spaces like a ballroom, an event hall, and even a private screening lounge (which feels very Dubai in the best way).

The branding part is also pretty baked-in.

The concept is meant to carry Mercedes-Benz’s design language everywhere—outside, inside, materials, colors. Interiors are described as black and silver at the base (so: sleek, a little futuristic), but then softened with leather and wood so it doesn’t feel like you’re living inside a concept car showroom.

Architecturally, the plan is organized as 12 towers that all share the same overall design “family,” plus this central showpiece building.

And yes, the towers are named after Mercedes concept cars—Vision One-ElevenVision AVTRVision Mercedes-Maybach 6, and more—while the centerpiece gets the name Vision Iconic. It’s very on-the-nose, but also… kind of fun?

Binghatti is positioning it as more than a branded-residences thing, like it’s supposed to feel like a full neighborhood-scale community where design and innovation meet actual day-to-day living.

Whether it ends up feeling like a real place or more like a luxury brand universe you can move into… we’ll see. But as a concept, it’s definitely trying to go bigger than “a fancy tower with a logo on it.”
