Weโ€™ve long admired the work of Fabien Oefner. His creativity brings a sense of space and physicality, along with a keen graphical sense.

From exploded sneakers to an entire vehicle, he definitely explores new mediums with enthusiasm, and the work is often stunning.

His latest work Volumen takes his trademark 3D brushstrokes, and embeds them into blocks of resin. Itโ€™s a visually deliciousย

The result is a collection that feels fresh, new, and dynamic, even in our world of instant gratification.

“I have always been fascinated by the textural quality of paintings. For me, experiencing works like de Kooningโ€™sย Door to the Riverย or Pollockโ€™sย Lavender Misthas always been as much a tactile experience as a visual one.

These paintings are almost like sculptures to me. What I am doing is removing the canvas entirely and lifting the paint into space, making its physicality completely tangible.”
