Sometimes a design is so striking and original that it resonates with us immediately, feeling both essential and inspiring. The beautiful Ribbon Chapel exemplifies this perfectly.

Its simplicity is matched only by the intricate thought behind its planning and construction.

The simple yet anticipatory entrance pathway gracefully rises to form the walls and structure of the chapel, culminating in a breathtaking observatory at the top.

Perched on a charming hill in Hiroshima, this architectural gem offers stunning views of the inland Sea of Japan.

Hiroshi Nakamura & NAP have crafted a remarkable addition to the landscape. Truly fantastic work!

    Very cool – a pic showing the ‘breathtaking view’ from the top would have been nice…;-}

  2. Thanks for such a great comment. We keep coming back to this building. So elegant.

  3. One of the most beautiful buildings I’ve seen in my 70+ years! Absolutely extraordinary. And of course, look where it’s located. I may never get to see it in person, but even in photos it makes my heart flutter. Thank you so much for sharing this exquisite wonder. As far as I’m concerned, it should become an eighth wonder of the world.
