Once the symbol of American retail glory, the Hudsonโs site is alive again.
In the heart of downtown Detroit, SHoP Architects has reimagined the storied block into a gleaming new tower that feels both futuristic and deeply rooted in the cityโs soul.

This impressively modern tower is more than just another skyscraper. Itโs a true declaration that Detroitโs next act has arrived.

The buildingโs layered glass and textured faรงade echo the cityโs industrial rhythm, while its height and ambition capture the spirit of renewal thatโs sweeping through the Motor City.

From the street, it reflects the grit and grace of Detroitโs rebirth. From above, it joins a skyline thatโs finally growing again, full of promise and purpose.

The Hudsonโs site once defined a golden era for Detroit commerce, now it defines a new era of creativity, culture, and confidence.
The new Hudsonโs Detroit complex will be a dynamic blend of everything the modern city center needs. Inside, it will feature high-end retail, restaurants, and cultural spaces at street level, creating a lively pedestrian experience along Woodward Avenue.
GM will also call many of the building’s floors home, with offices spread throughout the towers.

Above that, the tower will hold flexible office space designed for innovation and collaboration, a luxury hotel with sweeping skyline views, and a collection of residences that bring new life to downtown living.

A public observation deck crowns the structure, offering an unmatched panorama of Detroitโs reborn skyline.
Together, these layers make the building a living, breathing hub of energy, creativity, and connection.

Detroit has always been a city of makers, dreamers, and rebuilders. This tower stands as proof that resilience can be beautiful. Itโs more than architecture; itโs momentum made visible.
Welcome back, Detroit. Youโve earned this view.
