New York City’s Supertall 111 West 57th Tops Out Over Central Park

Central Park in New York is a focal point for entirety of Manhattan, and it’s increasingly surrounded by dramatically skinny, super-tall skyscrapers rising into the sky. The latest (and tallest) of these just topped out at an impressive 1,428 feet, second in the city only to One World Trade Center.

Designed by SHoP Architects, the slender sliver of a building (111 W 57th) pays homage to the history of the city’s design, and offers incredible views from its 82 stories. Also known as the Steinway building, the skyscraper integrates harmoniously with Steinway Hall at its base.
