Created by Kenyan-American artist Wangechi Mutu, these impressive and intense bronze sculptures pay homage to regal African women, and adorn the facade of the Metropolitan Museum in New York. Paying homage to regally-dressed tribeswomen, they are dressed in coiled outfits and dramatic lip plates. A fascinating addition to a museum’s enormous collection.
