Vibrant Mexican Feast by Paloma Rincón

Art director and photographer Paloma Rincón is no stranger to intense color, and bold visual composition.

This highly creative series Mexican Feast takes cues from traditional Mexican food culture, and mixes it in clever ways with traditional arts and crafts.

The vibrant series includes tacos, guacamole, and tasty cocktails, but also weaves in clever references to Alebrijes, Huichol, piñatas, beading, and more.

Ice cream cones come alive with the help from Alebrijes, a popular Mexican art, which includes fantastical creatures.

“Mexican Feast is a celebration on Mexican culture through its gastronomy and its tradition in handcrafts.

In this series I bring this two worlds together in compositions that mix the edible with the imaginary.

As a Mexican born photographer, the influence of color, textures, bright lights and handmade stuff are an important part of my style.

In this images I juxtapose Mexican food platters and ingredients with traditional handcrafts and recognizable everyday local props. “

The consistency and contrast of hues in Rincón’s work shows her skill as an art director.

For us, this is just as much a visual feast as a delectable one.
