Toshiko Horiuchi MacAdam is an artist from Japan who didn’t know her artwork would become a literal playground for children. When some kids asked her if they could climb on one of her large early installations, she nervously agreed, and when it became obvious that this was indeed a good idea, the world’s first crochet playground was born.
