IKEA and designer Tekla Evelina Severin, known as Teklan, are turning Bluetooth speakers into something you actually want to display.

Instead of hiding behind bookshelves, these speakers show up in bright colors and punchy patterns that make them feel more like decor than devices.

The new SOLSKYDD lineup brings soft, rounded forms wrapped in bold textiles. There is a small portable orange speaker, a mid-size striped green and beige option, and a larger version that hangs on the wall like a framed print.

Each one looks playful without feeling childish.

Then come the KULGLASS lamp speakers, where a glossy, ice-cream-swirl shade sits over a speaker base. It is equal parts lamp, sculpture, and sound machine, all in that joyful Teklan color palette.

What IKEA and Teklan are really asking is simple: what if your tech added personality to your space instead of blending into it?

These pieces bring sound, color, and a bit of whimsy into the home, and the result feels fresh, friendly, and far more fun than your average black plastic box.

The IKEA line of speakers launches in early 2026 starting at $80, at IKEA.

Astounding, I like it because they are hidden as decorative items and pleasant to look at.
