Pop-up books are kinda magical. Through clever folds, cuts, and placement, flat images can come alive, bringing motion, movement, and expression to books.

Kelli Anderson has a fabulous new pop-up book coming out that has a unique take on the alphabet, diving deep into the letterforms that make up our A to Z.

It’s called simply Alphabet in Motion.

With fabulous shapes that move, morph, grow and change, the book was years in the making, and is now wrapping up a highly successful Kickstarter campaign to launch the book.

We love the creativity and thoroughness of the book, which explores the many various forms that an individual letter can make, and the history behind typefaces.

‘This is a pop-up book of the alphabet, from A to Z, that I researched, wrote, designed, and paper-engineered. It explains how typography works. ‘

-Kelli Anderson

Below is a short video of the book prototype, which shows the ways the letters take on new life with pop-up movement.
