There’s a fascinating dichotomy between the peaceful, calming landscapes and stark, geometric mirror shapes in Karan Gujar‘s work.

While the colors are supernatural, there’s a subtlety that keeps the series feeling grounded. We’d very much like to have a day of exploring these colorfully magical landscapes.

Mumbai-based artist Karan Gujar transports us to far away places, landscapes spare and minimal, with colorful touches that make them feel just out of reach of Earth’s reality.

Paired with reflective geometric objects, the images become fully surreal, a meditation type of image that deals with reflection and symbolism.

“Soulful Aura is an abstract project that explores how our growth and behavior are influenced by our surroundings in life.

The visuals in this project symbolize glass as representing humans, showcasing how our surrounding environment affects our reflections.

The reflection in the glass represents our aura, which is a key factor in our happiness and overall quality of life.”

Mumbai-based digital artist Karan Gujar has a beautiful series entitled Diorama, where he explores beautifully minimal landscapes, dreamlike in nature and full of moody hues. There’s something very zen about the way the scenes are arranged, bringing some geometric forms into play with the rolling hills. See more of Gujar’s work on Behance:

“The Diorama is a set of scenic 3d digital illustrations, viewed through an abstract perspective, in which changes in colour and direction of illumination simulate changes in the weather, time of day, forms, etc creates a visual story connecting with the human emotions.”
