We’ve all seen gas fireplaces, often with chipped glass as a substrate. But how about a firepit made entirely of glass bricks?

That’s the idea behind Ben Uyeda and his channel, Home Made Modern. Using solid bricks of glass, he then stacked them to create a simple square fire pit. The design aesthetic is beautiful, almost like it’s made of clear ice.

In practicality, it proved less than perfect, with several of the glass bricks cracking or shattering due to the heat. Regardless, a successful test build.
