Using pristine, organic symmetry and dark, dramatic lighting, we see flowers and blooms in a new and moody perspective.

Slovakia-based photographer Viera Babecova created this stunning series, which feels dramatic, sultry, and highly precise. The petals and blooms are captured on a black backdrop, which lets them dissolve into shadow at the edges.

Many of the images feature reflected or symmetrical layouts, making them feel methodical and balanced.

Part of her ongoing series Miracles in Gardens, they are particularly striking. See more of her work on Behance.
