In an era of climate change, the world is confronting more intense weather, loss of biodiversity, and also the melting of polar ice caps. The latter is something that scientists have been proclaiming for decades now, but it’s easy to witness in places like Greenland, northern Alaska, and Canada.
And while it is going to take massive collective effort from world nations to curb global emissions and slow climate change, it feels a bit crass to be profiting off of the loss of resources. 🌎
Berg is a company selling bottled water made from melted icebergs, promising “the unmistakable taste of clean“.
The floating chunks of iceberg ice are hand harvested off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada, and bottled in glass bottles made to look like melting ice. 🧊
Whether the water tastes glacially pure or not, there’s something off about drinking the meltwater that our own human behavior is largely responsible for. 💧
The bottles are available, where else, Amazon, for $29.99 per bottle.
