lego-astronaut-hero moss and fog

Adweek profiles a recent campaign by Ogilvy for LEGO that has already won a number of ad awards, and should inspire some future builders. The series beautifully shows children inside elaborate LEGO sculptures of possible future careers, like astronaut, firefighter, and rock star. The kids are literally building their futures.

“To communicate the brand belief, we created this ad series to visualize the idea to consumers. We utilize the visual of a kid building with Lego bricks in the shape of his or her dream career. The Lego bricks that are being built symbolize the kids’ development, which gradually grows bigger and closer to their dream future.”

We love the way that well-executed campaigns can rise above simple advertisements, and become art, in their own way.
