Perched on the 38th floor of The Henderson , a stunning Zaha Hadid building in Hong Kong, Peridot Bar is a jewel-like cocktail lounge wrapped almost entirely in soft emerald plaster.
The color references the vibrant, yellowish-green gemstone of the same name.
It also happens to be, as we reported before, the most expensive real estate site on planet Earth.

Designed by Studio Paolo Ferrari, the space trades typical skyline spectacle for something quieter and more immersive. It has a glowing green interior where walls, ceiling, and floor seem to blur into one continuous, fluid shell.

A grid of frosted acrylic lights dots the ceiling and walls, casting a soft, pixel-like glow across the room.
Mirrored surfaces pull fragments of the city back inside, while a massive green marble bar anchors the space with sculptural weight.

The unique color, form, and material use echo the sculptural sleek of the exterior, and create a futuristic harmony.

Custom lacquered furniture, plush mohair seating, stainless steel accents, and marble details complete the atmosphere, making Peridot feel polished but not overdone.

It’s a cocktail bar that feels less like a nightlife venue and more like stepping inside a luminous gemstone.

Definitely invokes the American Barin Vienna by Loos, and various Frank Lloyd Wright spaces in which textured, vernacular surfaces are an integral part of the design. As here. This is a very nice update of some well established forms.
