Private aviation is currently bad for the planet, with emissions that have jumped 46% between 2019 and 2023. It’s even beginning to cause backlash, with two major airports in the Netherlands banning private jets from utilizing their facilities, to cut down on noise pollution and emissions.

If private plane use is to continue, it needs to get more sustainable.

Otto Aviation recently announced the Phantom 3500, a sleek, windowless jet that promises to redefine private air travel, both for passengers, and the planet. ✈️

By eliminating traditional windows, the Phantom 3500 achieves remarkable aerodynamic efficiency, reducing drag by 35% and fuel consumption by up to 50% compared to conventional business jets.

The plane’s extremely slippery aerodynamics means it achieves similar per mile emissions as an EV.

It also achieves a laminar flow airfoil, which means that it avoids nearly all the drag of a traditional design, and also eliminates contrail formation, meaning no white trails in the sky.

A Cabin Like No Other

Inside, passengers are treated to an immersive experience with high-definition digital displays lining the cabin walls and ceiling. These screens project real-time panoramic views from external cameras, offering a virtual window to the world outside.

This innovative design not only enhances the in-flight experience but also contributes to the aircraft’s structural integrity and aerodynamic performance.

Performance Meets Sustainability

Powered by twin turbofan engines, the Phantom 3500 has a range of over 3,600 miles and can cruise at altitudes up to 51,000 feet, soaring well above commercial air traffic and weather disturbances. It’s also a far longer range than traditional private jets.

Its advanced design not only ensures a smoother ride but also significantly cuts emissions, aligning with the growing demand for sustainable aviation solutions.
