Artist and sculptor Kim Simonsson creates vibrant green Moss People that are then placed in natural settings, making for a surreal forest scene.

The figures of children are made with hand sculpted stoneware, and covered in a nylon fiber that looks like colorful moss and lichen. Their expressions are peaceful and zen in nature, looking at ease with their natural surroundings. Simonsson’s home of Finland makes the perfect place for these compelling sculptures. We’ve included photos of his from gallery settings as well, which give the figures a different interpretation.
