The internet is rife with videos of people eating extraordinarily hot chili peppers.

But you’ve probably not seen the Royal Danish Navy Band (Søværnets Tamburkorps) play traditional songs while eating 17 Carolina Reapers and 4 ghost peppers.

Enabled by Danish chili-enthusiast and connoisseur Chili Klaus, the band dutifully eats the peppers before beginning their music routine, before visibly breaking down during their playing.

It’s a hilarious moment, and makes us less likely to try these mega-hot peppers than ever before.
